The method
How it works
Celsius and Fahrenheit
Fahrenheit equals Celsius multiplied by 9/5 plus 32; the reverse subtracts 32 and multiplies by 5/9.
Kelvin offset
Kelvin equals Celsius plus 273.15, using the same size degree without the Celsius zero point.
Absolute zero
The arithmetic accepts any number, but physical temperatures below 0 Kelvin are not meaningful.
